Super-CLAM Workshop at IEEE ICASSP 2024: Final Program Announced

The organizing committee of the Super-CLAM Workshop has officially announced the final program for the upcoming session at the IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing (ICASSP) 2024. The event will be held in Seoul, Korea, from April 14 to 19. Super-CLAM Workshop, co-organized by the CONVERGE Project and the TERRAMETA Project, focuses on super-resolution integrated communications, localization, vision, and radio mapping.

Highlighting the program, Prof. Nuria González Prelcic from the University of California San Diego will deliver a compelling keynote address titled “Integration is all you need: a vision of joint sensing, learning, and communication networks”. With a distinguished career, Prof. González Prelcic will share her insights into the future of wireless networks. Her talk will focus on the integration of sensing, learning, and communication to create what she envisions as ISLAC networks, aiming to transform them into entities capable of adaptive learning and enhanced operational efficiency through the concept of the ISLAC map and multimodal integration.

In addition, Dr. Silvia Mura of Politecnico di Milano will provide an in-depth look into “New Frontiers in Integrated Sensing & Communication and RIS-Assisted Localization” in her invited talk. Dr. Mura, with her rich background in telecommunications and signal processing, will discuss the revolutionary impact of Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) systems and Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RISs) on wireless technology. Her talk promises to highlight the pivotal role of these technologies in enhancing sensing and communication capabilities, potentially setting the stage for the next leaps in 6G systems.

The workshop’s organizing committee is composed by Dirk Slock (EURECOM), Luis Pessoa (INESC TEC), George C. Alexandropoulos (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens), and Filipe B. Teixeira (INESC TEC), who have collaboratively designed a program that promises to be both insightful and forward-thinking.

The IEEE ICASSP is the world’s largest and most comprehensive technical conference focused on signal processing and its applications. Hosted by the IEEE Signal Processing Society, the conference provides a unique opportunity for academics, researchers, and industry professionals to converge, share insights, and foster collaborations in the field of signal processing. The 2024 edition will be held in Seoul, Korea, from April 14 to 19, bringing together academics, researchers, and industry professionals to share the latest innovations and research in acoustics, speech, and signal processing.
