Showcase at 6G Symposium 2024

CONVERGE showcased its development efforts at the 6G Symposium, which took place in Levi, Finland, from April 9-11, 2024. This major event, attended by over 100 experts from around the world, focused on the latest advancements in 6G, featuring around 30 presentations and 20 exhibition stands dedicated to innovations in telecommunications.
CONVERGE played a prominent role with a dedicated stand within a larger exhibit on European 6G projects, offering detailed posters and leaflets that outlined its goals. A project representative actively engaged with visitors, sharing insights into how CONVERGE is driving the convergence of computer vision and 6G communications to enhance connectivity. Additionally, Associate Professor Miguel Bordallo López presented “The Convergence of Computer Vision and 6G Communications,” where he elaborated on the tools and methodologies that CONVERGE is developing to leverage visual data for advanced applications in the 6G ecosystem. His presentation highlighted the project’s interdisciplinary approach, combining computer vision with 6G technologies to address complex challenges in wireless communication. This participation underscored CONVERGE’s innovative approach in wireless communications and computer vision and its application in 6G research, and also fostered valuable discussions with industry stakeholders, emphasizing its vision for a seamless convergence of vision and 5G/6G connectivity.
